Planning has already begun for next year’s SEK Celebration of Flight Fly-In event due to the success of this years version. More than 350 people attended the event In Independence on September 14th.Thirty-two pilots from three states flew their aircraft to the Fly-in at Independence Municipal Airport. Spectators admired the variety of planes on display. Kansas Aviation gave tours of their facility.

The City of Independence Police, Fire, and ambulance services were on the scene, as well as a MedFlight helicopter, Army Recruiting and Reserves, and more.
