As part of the American Library Association’s annual Banned Books Week, Leonard H. Axe Library at Pittsburg State will host activities that highlight themes of censorship and freedom to read.
The library will hold several events, including hosting local middle school and high school children for a day of speakers and presentations. The public is also invited to come voice their support for often-banned books by recording themselves reading a passage of a favorite book and explaining the personal importance of that book. The recordings will be held at the library from 3 through 4:30 on September 26th.
