Coffeyville Community College president Linda Moley announced yesterday that she will be retiring at the end of the year. The announcement was made following the conclusion of the most recent CCC trustees meeting on Monday.

Moley's retirement will take effect on December 31, 2019, with Dr. Marlon Thornburg assuming full president duties the following day. Dr. Thornburg will become the ninth president in the 97-year history of the college. 

Moley was the eighth president overall and became the first female president in CCC history in July 2011. Among numerous accomplishments, she has served as the Athletic Director, Dean of Students and the Executive Vice President of Student Services and College Relations since joining the college in 1994.
