Coffeyville City Commissioners unanimously approved and executed a memorandum of agreement with the City of Caney to answer 911 calls. Coffeyville Police Department will answer 911 calls for Caney and rural southwest Montgomery County and transfer them to a designated phone number provided by Caney police. The daily average of calls is three per day. Coffeyville Police Department will provide emergency medical and fire dispatch for critical incidents. The agreement does not include wireless calls until the wireless providers provide handset location information with call set-up.
