With a new year comes many great new things to our towns and many great events throughout the year. We spoke with Director of the Independence Chamber of Commerce Lisa Wilson on the best way of keeping up with their events, as she says Facebook is the best outlet. She did wants to remind our listeners of an event coming up on January 20th. A day she says they will honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the I.H.S. Performing Arts Center starting with a free soup luncheon at 2PM followed by the program at 3PM.  Featuring entertainment for everyone as Wilson says there will be music, presentations and speakers all honoring Dr. King and what he stood for.
