An Independence man has been sentenced to life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years. The Montgomery County Chronicle is reporting that 30 year old Michael Dean Forrest was sentenced Friday by Judge William Cullins. Forrest was originally charged with two counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a minor. One of the two counts was later dismissed after Forrest accepted a plea agreement.

The sentence comes after Forrest admitted to molesting a 10 year old stepchild in 2017.
