We spoke with the director of the Independence Chamber of Commerce Lisa Wilson on a very eventful weekend up in Independence. As we close in on the start of the month of December, Independence will have Christmas themed activities planned this Saturday. First at Montgomery place for Cookies with Santa from 2 until 4 that afternoon, you and the kids are invited to meet Santa and enjoy cookies. Then head to Riverside park in the 4H building at 4PM for Christmas in the park. Pictures with Santa, cookies, music and so much more to enjoy this Saturday for Christmas in the Park. This weekend you’ll have a few opportunities to catch Santa as well as Mrs. Claus and other picture opportunities. Director of the Chamber of Commerce Lisa Wilson says they are busy preparing for Christmas with events on Saturday but also have an open house event home tours on Sunday. An event showing off the interior and decor of a few homes around town which you can be apart of as all the events are free of charge and all ages are welcome.
