Tuesday afternoon the Chautauqua County Sheriff Deputies went to an apartment in Cedar Vale to serve a felony arrest warrant. The wanted suspect barricaded himself in a room; as deputies made entry into the room the suspect attempted to attack the officers with a large knife. Multiple tasers and one round were fired by deputies. The suspect dropped the knife and after resisting officers was taken into custody. None of the officers involved were injured. The suspect was treated for minor injuries and placed in the Chautauqua County Jail.

The case will be presented to the County Attorney for possible charges.
