We sat down with Sargeant Rocky Yell with the Coffeyville Police Department on the upcoming holiday season. He wanted to remind everyone the season will bring an increase in traffic on our roadways, advising to always buckle up and avoid a disaster over the special time of the year. Yell advises with an increase in traffic, comes more opportunities for road rage, especially after stressful holiday shopping. Road rage will be more apparent as he urges you ignore the individual and call the police if you need. Always wear your seat belt and know how your getting home this holiday season, have a plan B and by all means do not drink and drive. Yell also said there will be a few saturation patrols around the holiday season to keep our roads safer during the holidays. Buckle Up, avoid road rage, and enjoy your holiday safely.
