We remain under a heat advisory until 8 pm. It's a good idea to limit outdoor activities and stay hydrated. Coffeyville Friends of Animals Becky Barnhart says our pets also need a little extra consideration.   She says extra food and fresh water are needed if your pets are outside.

Barnhart says make sure they have some shade and a kiddie pool can be a great way for dogs to cool off.
