It is not something you want to catch you off guard. The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reports a rattle snake was recently found in Sedan. The rattler was in the 400 block of South Chautauqua. The reptile was relocated to live another day. The sheriff's office shared the photograph of the snake which can hide fairly easily in grass.

However, the presence of the venomous snake reminds everyone to be mindful of where they step and what they're hearing when outdoors.
