The Director of Community Corrections for Montgomery County announces plans to retire. Kurtis Simmons says he has been employed with the department for 34-years. He has selected three members of the corrections board to make a recommendation to county commissioners for his replacement.
Simmons says his retirement will be effective September 1st. His last day will be August 24th.
