Many Kansans are among those getting away for the holiday. AAA-Kansas expects us to be a part of over 3-million-people in our region taking trips through July 8th. The travel group says that's a 4 percent increase from last year and the largest number of travelers since 2007. Most Kansans are taking road trips, despite gasoline prices being about 60-cents higher than one year ago. Many are traveling to Branson, Colorado, Kansas City, Oklahoma City and Dallas.
The travel group has also been booking flights to Vegas, Orlando, Alaska and Cancun.
