Coffeyville Energy Is Ready for Summer Heat

With the summer heat, comes the peak season for electrical use. Interim City Manager Michael Shook says our generators provide over 50 megawatts which is plenty to provide for our town, but for reassurance he also says the steam plant provides some power. Shook says not only do our new sites have enough power to provide to the city but our steam plant also produces an additional 30 megawatts giving us more than enough energy to provide for our hot season. Shook says our new generators start within 7-10 minutes providing 56 megawatts which is more than enough to provide for peak season. Shook says with our 3 generator plants working hard with the extra juice from the steam plant, he is not worried about Coffeyville running out of power during the hot season.
