Two search warrants served by the Coffeyville Police Department on June 20th result in two men being taken into custody. The first executed at 1005 W. 10th. Taken into custody was 32 year old Justin Carpenter with the recommended charges of possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. The second executed at 901 Harding, Apt 2. Two individuals were detained and questioned. Taken into custody was 45 year old William “Billy” McGinnis with the recommended charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of controlled prescription narcotics with intent to distribute, possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, possession of stolen property and possession of drug paraphernalia. Tobacco products and four pairs of sunglasses that were connected to some recent burglaries at K&S Oil and Brown Shoe Fit in Coffeyville were recovered.
