It's dusty and dangerous. Rural Caney residents ask the Montgomery County Commission to improve County Road 1700. The formerly paved road was turned to gravel more than 30-years ago. Resident Kenny Durst says it needs to be returned to a hard surface.  The road runs north from Highway 166 toward Havana Lake. Durst and residents Karen Schultheiss and Sandra Friedline would like to see a mile and half stretch paved.

The cost has been estimated at $46,000.
