The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department receives a call that a residence on Road 10 had a one-week old, white Charolais calf stolen. If anyone has any information about the theft or the recent acquisition of a Charolais calf, they are urged to contact the sheriff’s office. Any information may help solve this crime and others like it.
Sheriff Newby reminds all residents to be aware of any vehicles driving around that don’t belong. If there is someone driving around on a road seldom traveled, the Sheriff wants to know. “You are our eyes and ears when it comes to catching cattle thieves. Always remember, if they will steal from your neighbor, they will steal from you as well,” said Sheriff Richard Newby.
