With it officially being springtime in the state of Kansas, it is also time to be on the look out for spring severe weather. Montgomery County Emergency Management Director Rick Whitson says people can come out to an event put on by the director of the National Weather Service in Wichita.

The event is called Fury on the Plains and will be at 6:30 pm at the Ron Stevens Building by the fair grounds. He says it is open to the public and is free of charge.
