Coffeyville Regional Medical Center looks to cut costs. The hospital will reduce its workforce by 10-percent. The announcement comes on the heels of the departure of CEO Mark Woodring. Interim CEO Lori Rexwinkle cites reduced medicare reimbursements and expenses relating to upgrades to the electronic medical records system as factors in the across-the-board cuts. Rexwinkle says 30 positions will be cut.
The hospital plans to absorb as many of those jobs by not filling vacancies.
