The U.S. Department of Homeland Security plans to conduct chemical and biological tests near the stateline between Kansas and Oklahoma. Plans to conduct chemical and biological tests just south of Arkansas City. The test will include a low level release of inert chemical and biological materials at the former Chilocco Indian School. The first release will be in January. The second is set for June. The school is located in Oklahoma, 6 miles south of Ark City.
The department says the test is to determine how protected people would be when staying inside if biological agents are used in a terror attack.
