Movie night will be held once a month through October on the big outdoor screen in the 100 block of W. 8th Street. Bring lawn chairs, blankets, coolers and snacks to picnic in the street beneath the big screen. Admission is free, parking is free, popcorn is free. Soda and candy will be old with all proceeds benefiting the Midland Theater Foundation. No alcoholic beverages. In the event of inclement weather, the movie will be rescheduled.

The Humans

The Red Raven Repertory Theatre will kick off the 2019-2020 season with a three-day run of The Humans by Stephen Karam. Performances at Coffeyville Community College's Spencer/Rounds Performing Arts Theatre will be October 11-12 at 7 p.m. each night, and a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on October 13. The play will be directed by CCC's Theatre Director Ryan P Mahannah.

The Story: Breaking with tradition, Erik Blake has brought his Pennsylvania family to celebrate Thanksgiving at his daughter’s apartment in lower Manhattan. As darkness falls outside the ramshackle pre-war duplex, eerie things start to go bump in the night and the heart and horrors of the Blake clan are exposed.

Cast: Colton Smith, Meagan Strum, Jenna Speer, Tyler Allen, Bri'on Williams, and Juleoanna Stevenson.
