Independence Farmers' Market will begin on Saturday, June 3, 2017, and run through August, as long as produce is available. A wide array of produce, as well as local honey, and honey products, homemade jams, plants, handcrafted furniture,jewelry, eggs, crafts, breads and other homemade products will be available. Products and vendors must be local. To be a vendor, simply show up before 7:15 A.M. to be set up before 7:30. Papers will be filled out on site. Fee is $2.00 per Saturday. The 28th annual Sunflower State Games will be held July 14-30, 2017. The Sunflower State Games is Kansas' largest amateur sports festival. With over 45 different events there is something for people of all ages and skill levels. In 2017 we will be adding Cornhole (Bags) and Drone Racing to our list of events! Registration for the Sunflower State Games opens on March 1st, deadlines to register vary for each sport.
